Vacation Pictures

I've been bringing my digital camera along with me on all the vacations I've taken, and these image galleries show what sort of fun things I like to do! I haven't labeled any of the pictures

March 2003 (Rockport, TX): Mom and dad came to visit me in March and we went down to Rockport, TX (near Corpus Christi) and spend part of the week there. We had fun staying in a hotel, going fishing and just checking out the coast.
June 2003 (Blackduck, MN): When I was younger, we always used to get a cabin at this little resort up on Blackduck Lake in northern MN. These are some vacation pictures I took on our last trip up there with mom and dad. We had a ton of fun going fishing and just enjoying nature while we were there.
August 2003 (Los Angeles, CA): My sister is a teacher in LA, and these are pictures from the vacation I took when I went out there to visit her. We went down to San Diego and saw the zoo, as well as a bunch of other fun stuff.
Thanksgiving 2003 (Sartell, MN): Pictures from the annual family Thanksgiving get together. This year we had dinner at my uncle Paul's house (on my mom's side of the family). As usual, I had a blast!
Christmas 2003 (Sartell, MN): These are all pictures from when I went home for Christmas to spend time with the family. I didn't make it back in time for the big family get together that happened at Jan's that year. But I still made it back for Christmas day!
Easter 2004 (Houston, TX): My girlfriend, Elissa, was kind enough to have me over to her parent's house in Houston to spend Easter with them since I couldn't make it home. It was a ton of fun! It was the first time I'd ever spent with goats!
Summer 2004 (Sartell, MN): This was really two trips that I just combined into one section. I went up to Sartell in June to be in my friends Adam and Andrea's wedding. Then I went back up again in July with my girlfriend (Elissa) to visit. She had never been to MN before, so it was a really exciting trip.
Thanksgiving 2004 (Sartell, MN): I got to come home for my family Thanksgiving again this year. It was a great time! I made it down to my Uncle Paul's house for the family get-together where I spent the day with a decent portion of my mom's side of the family. I also ended up going to the farm to see Grandpa and Grandma for a day as well.
Christmas 2004 (Sartell, MN): A few short weeks after coming home for Thanksgiving, I made it back for Christmas. I went to my first family Christmas (on dad's side of the family) in four years, and got some pictures from that. It was strange because I hardly recognized a large number of people -- and they're my family! Of course, there's also some great pictures of the expected bowling party, as well as other random events from my trip home.
Easter 2005 (Houston, TX): I made it back down to Houston for Easter again with Elissa. It wasn't as large of a production this year because people had plenty of stuff going on, but that was fine. It just so happened that my birthday was Easter weekend as well, so we got a few "holidays" taken care of at once!
Family Reunion 2005 (Le Center, MN): One of the benefits of moving back home to Minnesota is that I can be around for things like family reunions. This year, we had a Ballman family reunion, and the majority of my family was able to make it. This time it was at my uncle Brad's house in southern MN.
Engagement to Elissa (Inks Lake, TX): On Oct 20, 2006, Elissa and I decided we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, and these are the pictures we took on our engagement trip to our favorite hiking and camping destination: Inks Lake, TX.
